On competition day, we woke up around 6 in the morning, briefly catching the morning breeze,after that, we went to perform our subuh prayers together, if we train as hard but did not put our faith back to our creator, then all is lost...
we went to breakfast around 7 a.m then we drove by several historic buildings in Melaka town...
we arrived at our place where the event take place the we see our 200 metres of destiny, im participating in the Kayak Sprint competition at Melaka River...
my partner is a really talented man who is a 2nd Engineer now in rank.. his name is Sir Syafiq, i could say that we did a great team eventhough were both lacking in experience, but i could'nt ask for a better teammate than him.
after a grueling challenge, we failed to pass the quarter finals, which causes us to be knocked out from the competition, we were so thankful for the opportunity and hope that we could do better in the future, one of our teammates got third place in the under 18 catogery
this picture is a unforgettable experience with my classmates as we enter this competition together, we scout, we paddle, and we conquer... this is the principle that have been buried in our hearts from the start of the journey and the turnouts are quite valuable.
we went for a stroll after the competition finish,and went for a shopping spree at Mahkota Parade Mall.one of it is going to xing fu tang and had a blast there, since its my first time even trying it , to make it more sweeter, i drink it with my friends who they as well had their first time drinking it.
lastly before we went back to the academy, we took a picture with the teams from the land below the wind,Sabah, they were really kind and joyous, they won big time at the competitions, they acknowledge our team as their worthy competitors, and they hope that we could face each other again in the future.
after an hour long drive from the competition area to the academy, we were utterly exhausted by the evening, so we end up lying on our backs on the tarmac road and take time catching our breath again.it was a really unforgettable experience and im really hoping that we could do it again.
