ex MOUNTAIN TAHAN

EKSPEDISI GUNUNG TAHAN

Ekspedisi Gunung Tahan, ermm tahan kerrr? haha it not the issue but yeah it is the issue, cannot tahan maa but alhamdulillah I had survived the highest altitude in Peninsular of Malaysia.

Let start the story, alright, on date of 16th March 2018,Friday, I woke up early than my usual because I was in very serious excitement.I check all the hiking tools that needed and not forgotten the most valuable survival kit, which was chocolates and extra joss energy powder.

There were 30 students that join this exhausting expedition.Approximately on 0700H we get into the bus and start our journey to Kuala Tahan,Pahang. We than reached there by 1530H. We were staying a day at Kuala Tahan. On night we were given a talk and advice as preparation for hiking by the expertise.Image result for gunung tahan terrain

On 17th we start to walk by the terrain to reach the Forest Dept. first to get the permit and the tour guide. We started to hike until Kuala Melantai. It only 7km .At first I dont thought that this 7km will be such so tiring. However the adrenaline and excitement of first day of hike that successfully brought me to the first camp.

The next day was unbelievable, because we hiked doubled the distance than the yesterday journey,It took 27 deadly hills to hike.I was like. Oh God send me help! I am seriously death and wearied.I dont know how i make it.All I know was friends whose always gave motivation to continue the hike. That night i sleep early without cared about biting mosquitoes. The dinner was simple but I enjoyed because we cooked ourselves and of course we were starved the whole day.

On Monday, the third day we need to cross 7 rivers to reach Teku campsite which I think it the hardest part maybe.I wear rubber shoe because we need to walk through the rivers. Due to wetness and long march,my feet blistered and wounded.Apparently this wound set down my motivation. Some rivers were deep and the current were fast, such a dangerous crossing that may took your whole life to drown.

The fourth day was the longest march,21km. Really challenge me physically and my mental had torn out.I dont know what drove me up,maybe my invisible soul because my body already gone.hehe. I cant feel my leg anymore and the wound became bigger.Luckily I brought save life kit:chocolates and nuts which gave me a good resupply energy.Everything I see over my horizon was a high hill. Also there were many of beautiful bonzai there.
Just wanna close my eye and hopefully I reach the top by hand of God.Day five ,the breeze felt diffrence and colder because we were approching the top.The surrounding now were less of trees all there were small branches and bushes.Along the way in high altitude, the water resource were less,to refuel our thirst, the only water left is the puddle over the terrain to drink.Nasty but yaa, wanna live right. There were so many pitcher plant there.By dust my group reached the bloody Tahan top point.

2187m over the sea level altitude was succesfully hiked. We just stay a day at the top.It were so cold and unfortunately it was raining in the middle night causing my tent flooded. That night I was sleeping like in refrigerator.Yet I had the best day in  my life.I can see the whole mountain range of Pahang.

Next day we went down the mountain and slept overnight at Kor camp to have rest.We share stories and have a small BBQ.Next morning we continue to walk down. We end the expedition and out from the jungle in somewhere in Kelantan . 99km ,4800ft ,7 days march done!!! ALHAMDULILLAH

JUST BELIEVE IN YOURSELF,HELP EACH OTHER,NEVER ABANDONED MISSION AND CAPTURE THE TARGET YOU HAVE SET.That what I learnt.
