"There it was", she said as she sighed heavily across the room.
It was compact and dark, but moonlight managed to make its way through the window, allowing us to identify the objects around. The smell of dampness filled the air, probably from leaking pipelines. It was a cold night. A cold long night.
Mila grabbed it and we hurriedly went out. 7 miles and about 2 hours later, we got back home. My muscles screamed through my calves from all the walking. It was such an intense day, I decided to call it a night. I climbed into bed and in seconds I knocked out.
I woke up from the beams of sunlight warming my face and the smell of fresh pancakes coming from the kitchen. I smiled, knowing that everything is over. All the work Mila and I did was worth it. Everything. Was. Finally. Over.
That was the end.
So what was the beginning? Let me take you back to a week ago when it all started.
