Curry mee is a dish originally from Indonesia. This dish has been brought to Malaysia and has been apart of our regular menus. The chinese community especially has taken this dish and added their own style to it. Today, we see many curry mee stalls by the road, in hawkers, and in restaurants and hotel menus. Curry mee is made with egg(or wonton) noddles in a bowl of thick curry broth. Some curry mees have seafood like shrimp and squid while others dont. Most curry mees will also give you a choice of adding chicken blood in it or not.

2. Nasi Lemak
Nasi lemak is a traditional malay dish. This dish is usually had for breakfast by a lot of Malaysians. It includes fragrance fatty pandan rice, a spicy sambal, ground nuts, cucumber and a choice of meat. For example, fried chicken or anchovies. Some nasi lemak's also have a boiled egg together with the dish. This dish is a satisfying meal when you are hungry on a cold morning. The spicy sambal will sure kick your day off!

3. Chicken briyani
Chicken briyani is, safe to say, a meal no one can turn down. This is a mixed dish rice with spices and vegetables, mint, garlic, nuts, potatoes, dried fruit and of course, chicken. Chicken briyani is served warm with a side of cold raita. Raita is a chilled yoghurt cucumber carrot dish that goes very well with the taste of the briyani. This is an indian dish that many families usually make, especially for special occasions. The briyani does have additional options like adding boiled egg.

4. Roti Tisu
This sweet flatbread, also known as tissue pratha, is a famous delicacy in indian/mamak stalls. This is an extremely thin roti that is very tall. The thin roti is cooked and rolled into a cone. The roti is then drizzled with condensed milk, and rose syrup. This is for all sweet toothers out there. Usually when friends go out together, they buy 1 roti tissue and share it among themselves. Even I like this delicacy.
